Square Baby Launches “Peanut Powder”

Peanut Powder - Allergen introduction for baby - Square Baby

Bend, OR (January 3, 2024) – Square Baby™, a trailblazer in premium baby food, is proud to debut a new product addition to the Square Baby line up – say hello to Square Baby’s Peanut Powder. Our peanut powder makes it easy and delicious to follow the science-based recommendations for allergen introduction and exposure.

While many of today’s top baby food companies are touting “allergen-free,” Square Baby is doing the opposite and leaning into the recent research. According to landmark studies like LEAP, PETIT, and EAT, we know that offering allergens early (4-6 months of age) and often (several days a week) may help prevent food allergies by 80%! Square Baby is raising the bar in allergen introduction as the ONLY baby food company offering an allergen introduction menu

Scientific Recommendations Made Easy

Square Baby’s new Peanut Powder makes it easy and convenient to follow the science-based recommendations for peanut allergen introduction

Based on the LEAP study, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends 2g of peanut protein 3 times per week, starting as early as 4-6 months of age. Square Baby makes it convenient and simple for parents to follow these recommendations – as 1 Tbsp of Peanut Powder conveniently delivers 2g of peanut protein.

How to Use Peanut Powder

Simply scoop 1 Tbsp of peanut powder into any Square Baby meal, stir, and serve.  Also, you can add the powder to 4 oz of breastmilk, formula, or water.

We recommend introducing one allergen at a time so you can watch for any reactions related to each new food. For example, introduce Beet Berry (contains yogurt/milk) and then 1-2 days later, add Peanut Powder to Beet Berry to introduce peanut allergens.

Pediatricians and allergists advise: “Highly allergenic foods (like peanuts, egg, and milk) should initially be given to your baby in small tastes at home, and the amount can gradually be increased in a developmentally appropriate manner if there are no signs of intolerance or allergic symptoms.”
